65 Dead In Easter Terrorist Attack

Just days after Obama chastised Americans and demanded we let more Muslim refugees into our country following the Brussels terrorist attacks, Islamic extremists launched an Easter attack targeting Christians that left 65 people dead and 300 more injured.

According to Mad World News, the attack took place in the Pakistani city of Lahore on Easter Sunday near a playground, where a suicide bomber detonated just feet from children’s rides. Many families were in the park celebrating Easter at the time.

“When the blast occurred, the flames were so high they reached above the trees and I saw bodies flying in the air,” said witness Hasan Imran, 30.

Another witness added that he “saw body parts strewn across the parking lot once the dust had settled after the blast.”

A local media outlet reported that “footage showed children and women standing in pools of blood outside the park, crying and screaming, and rescue officials, police, and bystanders carrying injured people to ambulances and private cars.”

Salman Rafique, a health adviser for the Punjab provincial government, originally put the death toll at around 60 people. However, Rafique added that “the death toll may climb considerably” since there are “more than 280 injured people” with many “in operation theaters now being treated.”

Police superintendent Mustansar Feroz added that most of the victims were women and children.

As Nasreen Bibi waited for doctors to update her on the condition of her injured two year-old, she cried, “We were just here to have a nice evening and enjoy the weather,” before adding, “May God shower his wrath upon these attackers. What kind of people target little children in a park?”

Since this attack took place on Easter Sunday, it’s clear Muslim terrorists were trying to send a message to Christians all over the world. SHARE this story if you’re keeping the victims of these attacks in your thoughts and prayers. As Christians, we need to stick together now more than ever!
