Those following the presidential election are in mourning this week after a 2016 candidate was suddenly found dead.
According to The Political Insider, Libertarian Party primary candidate Marc A. Feldman was found dead at the America’s Best Value Inn in Cleveland, Ohio. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office has not yet released a time of death at this time.
“We are saddened by the sudden loss of Dr. Feldman,” the Cleveland Clinic said in a statement. “He was a talented physician and will be missed.”
Back in May, Feldman lost the Libertarian Party nomination to former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson. Carla Howell, the party’s political director, expressed her shock after calling Feldman’s home for confirmation of his death.
“This is absolutely horrible,” she said
“We will miss his dedication as a member of the national committee and candidate for public office, but most of all, I will miss a good friend,” said Nicholas Sarwark, chair of the party’s national committee. “He was a delightful, spirited, and dedicated Libertarian who inspired and won the hearts of many. Our deepest condolences to his family on their loss.”
Feldman was found dead by police after a woman trying to call his room informed hotel staff that he was unresponsive.
Saddened to hear of the passing of Liberty Champion Marc Feldman today. Wonderful sense of humor and a good guy.
