BREAKING: Legendary Actor Found Dead – Please Send Prayers

Beloved actor Rubén Aguirre, who was best known for his role as “Profesor Jirafales” in El Chavo del 8, passed away this morning from pneumonia. He was 82 years-old.

The news was confirmed by Edgar Vivar, who played “Señor Barriga” on the popular show.

“My favorite professor rests in peace now,” Vivar wrote on Twitter, according to Latin Times. “Today my good friend Rubén Aguirre left this earth. I will miss you very much.”

A few weeks ago, Aguirre’s wife Consuelo de los Reyes had revealed that he was in serious condition from his illness.

“From one day to another he lost all his strength and now he’s not moving,” de los Reyes said in early June. “He can’t even roll on the bed and is not talking as much. Diabetes has him like that.”

Aguirre had been hospitalized since May, but he was released from the hospital on June 7 so he could go home to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where he died. Born on June 15, 1934, Aguirre began his career in Monterrey working with a famous clown named “Pipo.” He quickly moved on to Mexico City, where he enjoyed a career that spanned decades.

Please keep your thoughts and prayers with his family during this difficult time!
