Over the past seven years, Barack Hussein Obama has taken great pleasure in trying to control every aspect of our lives. Now, he’s taking things even further by suing any business that defies him by taking it upon themselves to decide who is allowed in the restrooms.
According to Daily Caller, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has filed a lawsuit against a private business for sex discrimination and harassment after a male employee, who announced he was changing genders, was banned from using the women’s restroom and was referred to with male pronouns by his coworkers. The commission is suing Deluxe Financial Services, a Minnesota-based company that helps small businesses with marketing.
Deluxe Financial has denied that they violated any anti-discrimination laws but agreed to settle the case for $115,000 in order to avoid further costs of litigation, according to the settlement agreement.
The male employee, who goes by the name Britney Austin, presented himself as a man when he was first hired by Deluxe Financial. After working there for a certain period of time, he announced his plans to change his identity to that of a woman.
In a press release for the lawsuit, which was filed last summer, Austin claimed her coworkers subjected her to a “hostile work environment,” such as “intentionally using the wrong gender pronouns to refer to [him].” Austin responded by hiring attorney Jillian T. Weiss, whose law practice specializes in suing people for discriminating against transgenders. They then teamed up with the EEOC against Deluxe Financial, seeking unspecified monetary damages.
The settlement the two parties came to in January of 2016 required Deluxe Financial to pay $115,000 to Austin and his attorneys within five days of the agreement.
