Obama and his minions have been arguing for years that it’s “racist” and discriminatory to ask someone to show an ID before voting.
Showing an identification is a totally normal part of everyday life in this country. You have to show an ID before opening a credit card, entering a government building, getting on an airplane, and opening a bank account, yet liberals are arguing this practice keeps blacks and hispanics from voting on Election Day. Right…
According to The Political Insider, the Supreme Court gave Obama a brutal wakeup call on Friday when they refused to even hear arguments about Texas’ voter ID law. This decision came after coalition of Latino advocacy groups and Democratic lawmakers filed an emergency request arguing that the law is discriminatory.
The justices responded with an unsigned order giving no explanation for the reasoning behind their decision. Though this ruling is temporary, it means the law will likely stay in affect through the November election.
The Texas voter ID law is known for being one of the strictest in the country, since it requires voters to provide certain government-issued photo ID in order to cast a ballot. However, it is also a necessary law since both Texas officials and the U.S. Justice Department agree more than 600,000 eligible voters in the state lack the proper identification to vote.
