Just weeks after the terrorist attacks in Brussels, ISIS has announced the next country they are targeting, and their threat has the entire Western world on high alert.
According to Headline Politics, ISIS revealed they will be targeting Germany next, and they have called upon Muslims in the European nation to launch attacks similar to the one in Belgium. ISIS released a series of images and graphics this week with slogans written in German inciting Muslims to commit violence against the “enemy of Allah.”
Germany’s BKA federal police, which monitors suspected militants with German passports coming back from fighting in Syria and Iraq, told reporters they are aware of the images.
“We are aware of this material and our experts are checking it,” a BKA spokeswoman said. “It is clear that Germany is the focus of international terrorism and that attacks could happen, but this material doesn’t change our security assessment.”
One of the ISIS images shows a militant in combat fatigues standing in a field and gazing at Cologne-Bonn airport along with the caption, “What your brothers in Belgium were able to do, you can do too.”
Another photo shows the German chancellery building in Berlin on fire as an ISIS fighter and a tank stand outside the structure. The caption on the image reads, “Germany is a battlefield.”
Though Germany is the next target, it’s clear that the US is at the top of ISIS’s list when it comes to places they want to attack. This could all be a clever distraction to divert attention from an attack they are planning on America. Considering Obama’s relaxed refugee laws, ISIS is likely rushing to launch an attack on the US before he leaves office.
