Fox News Gets Some Devastating News – Nobody Saw This Coming

Fox News got some very bad news this week when it was revealed that CNN had topped them in the ratings for the month of April for cable news in prime time.

According to Western Journalism, this is the fifth time over the past eight months that CNN has topped Fox in Monday-Sunday prime time among adults 25-54. CNN has not been able to compete against Fox this well since November of 2001.

Despite this, Fox was able to beat CNN when it came to overall viewers with an average of 3.25 million viewers between 8-11 p.m. ET. CNN came in second with  2.62 million viewers and MSNBC was a distant third with 1.48 million viewers.

However, CNN has seen a 111-percent increase in viewers from April 2015 to April 2016.

“Anecdotal evidence suggests a growing number of Fox viewers have been angered at the cable outlet’s perceived move to the left the last couple years, as well as its frequent criticisms of Republican presidential primary front-runner Donald Trump,” wrote Cheryl Chumley on WND. “(Megyn) Kelly, for example, came under public fire for her questioning of Trump during an August debate on Fox about his past treatment of women, and for the ensuing public spat that waged between her and the billionaire businessman for months.”

“The world of broadcast and cable television is being buffeted on all sided by competition from numerous other media sources and is hemorrhaging viewership. The odds of Fox recovering or growing their audience after the primary season is over is exceedingly slim,” wrote Steve McCann on The American Thinker.
