Patriots everywhere were furious on Tuesday when the FBI announced that they have recommended that Hillary Clinton not be charged for her use of a personal email server during her time as Secretary of State.
Within hours of the announcement, Hillary Clinton and her campaign were gloating about the outcome, saying they are “pleased” with the FBI’s decision.
“We are pleased that the career officials handling this case have determined that no further action by the Department is appropriate,” a spokesman for the Clinton campaign said, according to Daily Mail.
“As the Secretary has long said, it was a mistake to use her personal email and she would not do it again,” said Brian Fallon, a former Justice Department employee who now serves as national press secretary for Clinton’s presidential campaign. “We are glad that this matter is now resolved.”
Clinton was making a speech at the National Education Association in Washington, D.C. when the announcement was made and she made no mention of it at the event. In his puzzling announcement, even FBI director James Comey admitted that what Clinton did was very wrong.
“Although we did not find clear evidence that Secretary Clinton or her colleagues intended to violate laws governing the handling of classified information, there is evidence that they were extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, highly classified information,” he said.
