Just days after President Obama lectured Americans about taking in MORE Muslim “refugees” and not stigmatizing followers of Islam because of the Brussels attack, disturbing reports have come out saying that a Catholic priest was crucified by Muslim extremists on Good Friday.
Christoph Cardinal Schonborn, the Archbishop of Vienna, has issued a statement confirming that 56 year-old Father Tom Uzhunnalil, an Indian Catholic priest, was crucified by ISIS just before Easter. According to Breitbart, Uzhunnalil was kidnapped from a home for the elderly run by Mother Teresa’s Missionaries for Charity in Aden, Yemen on March 4. The home is known as “the only Christian presence” in the city.
When ISIS raided the home, they murdered four nuns as well as two staffers, a guard, and eight elderly residents. Last week, several religious groups began receiving warnings that Uzhunnalil had been tortured and would be crucified on Good Friday. The news of the heinous deed was not confirmed until Monday morning.
This horrifying news came days after Obama finally acknowledged the deadly Brussels terrorist attacks by demanding Americans take in more Muslim refugees.
“Our openness to refugees fleeing ISIL’s violence; our determination to win the battle against ISIL’s hateful and violent propaganda — a distorted view of Islam that aims to radicalize young Muslims to their cause,” are paramount in the fight, Obama told Americans during his weekly radio address, according to The Gateway Pundit.
“We have to wield another weapon alongside our airstrikes, our military, our counterterrorism work, and our diplomacy,” Obama continued. “And that’s the power of our example. Our openness to refugees fleeing ISIL’s violence. Our determination to win the battle against ISIL’s hateful and violent propaganda – a distorted view of Islam that aims to radicalize young Muslims to their cause.”
Please keep the family and friends of Father Uzhunnalil in your thoughts and prayers.
