Yesterday, we reported that legendary pop icon Prince had been found dead at the age of 57. Today, his fans were stunned to learn that he received treatment for a drug overdose six days before his death.
According to Breitbart, Prince’s private jet made an emergency landing in Moline, Illinois last Friday and he was rushed to the local hospital. At the time, his management team claimed he was battling a severe case of the flu. However, TMZ has reported that Prince actually received a “save shot,” which is used to treat opiate overdoses.
Prince was reportedly advised to remain in the hospital for 24 hours, but he left after only three when his request for a private room was denied. The next night, Prince showed up at a dance party near his Minnesota home, where he displayed his new guitar and piano but did not sing. Chillingly, Prince told his fans to “wait a few days before you waste any prayers.”
On Thursday morning, Prince was found unresponsive in an elevator at his Paisley Park compound in Minnesota. The Carver County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating his death, but they have reported that there is no signs of foul play.
