Loudmouth liberal Rosie O’Donnell has been trying to lay low ever since her arch-nemesis Donald Trump launched his hugely successful presidential campaign. Unfortunately for her, she has found herself back in the limelight this week after her divorce from wife Michelle Rounds was finally finalized.
“The divorce is finalized, this is just a formality for the paperwork to be submitted,” a representative for O’Donnell told PEOPLE on Wednesday. The New York Post‘s Page Six reported that lawyers will head to Manhattan Supreme Court Thursday to make the divorce official.
The 54 year-old comedian filed for divorce from Rounds last February, and after a bitter custody battle, the two reached a settlement in October. Afterwards, O’Donnell joked that “there’s peace in the Middle East” and that both women were “very happy about the outcome.”
The couple was married for three years, and they have a 3 year-old daughter named Dakota together. The custody battle ensued after Rounds filed for sole custody in April, but they later agreed to share joint legal custody.
This marks O’Donnell’s second failed marriage, after she was married to wife Kelli Carpenter for three years. They had four children together.
