GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump is one of the most successful businessmen of all time. That’s why it came as a huge surprise to his supporters when he recently opened up about the tough experiences in his life that made him the man of God he is today.
“Going through tough times is a wonderful thing, and everybody should try it. Once,” Trump once said, according to Q Political.
Born in 1946, Trump was a trouble-maker as a child, so his parents sent him to military school when he was 13 in the hopes of teaching him some discipline.
“As an adolescent, I was mostly interested in creating mischief,” Trump explained. “I liked to stir things up, and I liked to test people.”
There, Trump’s life changed forever.
“I did very well under the military system,” Trump recounted. “I became one of the top guys at the whole school.”
What many people don’t know is that Trump was raised Christian and his strong faith stays with him to this day.
“People are so shocked when they find out I am Protestant,” Trump said. “I am Presbyterian. And I go to church, and I love God, and I love my church.”
After graduating from college with an economics degree, Trump entered the real estate industry, where he struggled to make ends meet for years. It wasn’t until 1982 that he finally found success with the opening of Trump Tower, a monumental $200-million apartment-retail complex.
“From the day I built [Trump Tower] it’s been successful. It’s not my biggest building, it’s not my biggest job, and I’ve made more money on other things than I have at Trump Tower, but I think my favorite building will always be Trump Tower,” Trump revealed.
Contrary to what the liberal media will tell you, Trump is a man who has worked for everything he has achieved in his life. SHARE this story if you support him!
